EXPERIENCE

Experience

Feb. 2020 - Present

As the Marketing Intern at the Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce I had many jobs. On any given day you could have found me writing blogs, designing social media posts, crafting an e-newsletter, putting together city reports, meeting with business owners, and plenty more. Since being an intern in college, I have been promoted to part-time, and then quickly to full-time employment as the Marketing & Communications Manager. You can still find me doing all of my intern tasks, as well as fully taking over the website, social media, PR, graphic design, email marketing, Marketing Committee, and Leadership Institute program.

This being my first full-time position has come with lots of growth and new skills:

  • I am very comfortable conversing and collaborating with business owners, CEOs, VPs, elected officials, you name it

  • I am learning to manage many amounts and types of people through producing Leadership Institute and managing my new intern

  • My marketing and design tactics have become much more refined since getting to practice them regularly in this position, including the recent completion of my Digital Marketing Science Course

MARKETING

Jan. 2020-May 2022

My position in the Marketing and Communications department at Eckerd college started with some busy work like posting events on the website, managing social media statistics, and writing up the weekly online newsletter. In the nearly three years I spent there though, I earned my way into projects like designing and executing Eckerd College's earth week campaign from start to finish twice (2021 & 2022), creating new web pages on the official site, writing many articles and press releases, and designing infographics/social posts for the official Eckerd College social media. This job was a great way to practice working both individually and in varying teams, and beginning to develop skills in creating original ideas while executing them successfully.

MEDIA RELATIONS ASSISTANT

Summer 2019

At CallRevu, my job as the marketing and design intern was to help pick up the slack of a very busy marketing department. Whatever work did not take immediate priority of the head graphic designer got sent to me to complete. These projects included everything from tweaking old marketing materials to creating a series of company posters. A majority of my work was creating marketing materials for a new product or collaboration in the company, but even that encompassed infographics, flyers and one-sheeters describing a new product. I got lots of good design practice and I got to learn from another designer's work.

COMMUNITY MEDIA CENTER

Most of my job as the Carroll County Community Media Center's graphic design intern was to design these powerpoint slide style promotions for local events. These slides would then be aired on the local television channel to advertise those events within the community. As well as creating over 50 of these ads, I also assisted coworkers with photoshop skills and designed a new logo (and style sheet) for one of their new organizations, "Carroll helping Carroll".
